Cinta Kaipat received a BA in Liberal Arts, with an emphasis in Law, from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. After graduating with highest honors, she attended the University of Minnesota Law School on a merit scholarship.

During law school, she also worked as a member of the Legal Team to amend the Constitution during the 3rd CNMI Constitutional Convention. She also did her summer internship as a clerk for the Honorable Justice Ramon G. Villagomez of the CNMI Supreme Court. Cinta was awarded her JD in 1997.

In 1998 Cinta co-produced and directed the award-winning documentary "Lieweila: Navigators' Children." (Her success led to her latest project, a PBS documentary concerning the United States' relationship with the CNMI and Guam.)

She then served one year as PUTC Assistant/Senate Aide to Senator Thomas P. Villagomez, 11th CNMI Legislature.

At present, Cinta is an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Department of Labor, Saipan, CNMI. She was also appointed to the CNMI Parole Board, a position she held until 2003, and to the Historic Preservation Review Board until 2002. Cinta currently sits on the Board of Karidat, a charitable social services organization.
